The Adelaide Hills region is quite diverse and stretches a long distance from North to South along the Mt Lofty ranges. However the one thing that most vineyard sites have in common is high elevation and a cool climate that is perfect for producing outstanding Sauvignon Blanc wines.
The Potts family are fifth generation winemakers at Bleasdale which was founded in the 1850's. Any reasonable definition of terroir would include the relationship between the people, the vines and the environment and as such it is impossible to think of a longer continuing relationship in this corner of the earth.

It smooth from start to finish with supple tannins and dry savoury finish. This is a quality wine from a notable Barossa winemaker. The 2006 vintage of the same wine will cost you $312 per dozen from the winery.

Initially it has some juicy fruit-sweetness but then finishes quite dry and has good balance and oak integration. It's a well made wine that is smooth and easy to drink with plenty of bang for buck.
