There is much to tell about Chester and his father d'Arry and the Osborne family who have been at their winery since they bought it in 1912, but instead I will talk about why I am in the industry. My first memory of drinking red wine was with my father in the mid 70's it was and it was a bottle of d'Arry's Red Burgundy from the 60's, if I close my eyes I can almost see the bottle and smell the wine. I wasn't more than 10 years old.
Varietal notes of herbaceousness gooseberries, passionfruit and pear dominate the nose. A typical savvy palate, full of fruit characters, tropical fruits, lychees, gooseberries and passionfruit with a very clean and fresh mouthfeel. Sit back on a balmy summers night and sip every refreshing drop with friends, food and family!
